Background of the Study

Transportation is a critical component of local development, facilitating the movement of people, goods, and services. In Bauchi LGA, Bauchi State, road rehabilitation projects have been implemented to improve transportation infrastructure and support economic growth. This study aims to appraise the influence of transportation policies, particularly road rehabilitation projects, on local development in Bauchi LGA.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

While road rehabilitation projects are essential for improving transportation and local development, challenges such as inadequate funding, poor project management, and delayed implementation often undermine their effectiveness in Bauchi LGA. This study will examine how transportation policies and road rehabilitation projects influence local development in the region.
